Hello ,
7 weeks of retreat into the home office, working under completely new conditions, time to rethink. It's amazing how well our teams have coped with all this. One thing has become very clear to me: we work in the right industry, with what we do every day we can make a difference. And, I hereby come out as a crisis optimist! We will focus even more on the topics of health and quality of life, because that's what really matters.
Inspiring 04 minutes - and stay healthy! Your Markus Wild

| Quicktests, ventilators... | |
We are currently particularly proud of our customers. New rapid tests are developed around the clock, such as Spindiag or GNA biosolutions. Thousands of ventilators are manufactured and delivered in 7-day shifts at Löwenstein medical. And we are allowed to help, e.g. in the development of usable solutions that stand their ground even in times of crisis.

Home office is a new experience, also for our team. Otherwise, it is difficult to say how transformed we will emerge from the current crisis. Nevertheless I tried to make some assumptions, because as designers we have to shape the future with a concrete idea.

... BEFORE .............. AFTER
Who does not know them: the Sanifair hygiene centres. From now on the P-break will be even more beautiful. Our Gelsenkirchen team was invited to design the entrance control systems of the next generation. This spring, we received an IF Award in the product category. The user interface is designed for intuitive user guidance and supports the payment process with clear light signals. Behind the hygienic glass surface, a touch screen user interface is installed, which among other things also allows contactless payment via NFC, RF-ID or QR/Bar code.

look INto the future ...
From the long-standing cooperation of our Shanghai team with the Chinese company Yi Technologies - belonging to Xiaomi - a number of successful camera products have been developed, Actioncams, Dashcams and this Dual-Cam. This one is used as an easy to use 180 degree camera for the Google VR platform Daydream. The future has begun.

Our contribution dates back several years. In 2010, we were able to completely redesign the Excor Pediatric System of Berlin Heart, a portable artificial heart for seriously ill children waiting for a donor heart, and bring it into a transportable form suitable for everyday use. It took another 10 years of development, approval and clinical studies before it could be used on the young patients; today we are very pleased that the first children can be fitted with the Excor System this year. The 15 kg lightweight system contains double redundant technology, pumps, batteries and all other important components, because an artificial heart must be fail-safe. Here are some current reports:
